Game misconduct for NHL owners, players
Original Form:
Instead of trying to recruit fans and boost morale and
appreciation for hockey, the National Hockey League (NHL) and NHL Players
Association are more focused on earning money. They aren't making as much money
as they would like, so they enforced an Lockout, preventing any hockey game
associated with the National Hockey League to occur. Not caring about the
consequences associated with the Lockout and what it could mean for the future
of hockey.
(If greed is good, then it would be interesting to see who
has the largest picture of Gordon Gekko hanging in the office.)
Standardized Form:
1) The NHL and NHL Players Association don't care about the
fan anymore, but rather the money associated with hockey.
2) It is no longer about the "love of the game",
but rather who can rack up a higher salary; greed comes into play. (Missing
premise, assumed).
3) With greed comes the sense of entitlement, power and
doesn't allow an equal share for everyone involved.
4) As a result, the
NHL earns more money, and fans are finding it even more difficult to afford to
attend hockey games.
5) If this continues, all the NHL will have left is rows of
empty seats with no fans to fill them.
6) In the end, it doesn't matter about the fans or hockey,
but rather how much money the NHL gets to put in their pockets by the end of
the hockey season.

Justice for Ashley
Original Form:
Police and corrections officials sometimes argue that videos
showing them doing their jobs under tough circumstances can be misleading
without context.
Standardized Form:
1) The corrections system is failing to provide proper
mental health support for female prisoners.
2) As a result, many female prisoners are being treated
improperly and being neglected of their basic rights.
4) Like Ashley Smith, many female inmates are experiencing
the true nature of the Corrections System (resorting to choking/cutting
themselves, being injected with drugs without consent, bound and taped and
being taunted by officers, ect...)
4) This treatment is both horrible and displays a true
reflection of a corrupt Corrections System that doesn`t properly treat and
support inmates suffering from mental illness.
5) In conclusion, the corrections system and officials are
failing to do their jobs and neglecting inmates.
